Karen A. (Sweeting) Zietlow

Karen A. Zietlow, age 81, of Manitowoc passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Frontida of Manitowoc.

Karen was born on May 31, 1942 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Everette and Marie (Wehner) Sweeting. She was a 1960 graduate from Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On February 17, 1962 Karen was married to Kenneth B. Zietlow at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. She worked as a bookkeeper for Manitowoc Pharmacy for many years until her retirement. Karen was also an Eucharistic Minister at St. Francis of Assisi Parish on Grand. Karen was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, the St. Clare Society, the Resurrection Choir and Gloria Dei Choir.

Karen is survived by her husband: Kenneth Zietlow, Little Chute; four daughters and three sons-in-law: Colleen (Marlin) Greenwald, Green Bay, Kelly Kuklinski, Two Rivers, Lisa (Kenneth) Kortens, Kimberly, Julie (James) Diedrich, Manitowoc; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Allan (Judy) Sweeting, Oshkosh, Paul (Gail) Sweeting, Manitowoc; one special niece: Kerri Popp, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Everette and Marie Sweeting; one sister: Sr. Colleen Sweeting; one half-brother: James Sweeting.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. Rev. Jason Blahnik will celebrate the Mass of Christian burial with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum. The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday at the church from 9:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am.
